Soluta brought digital innovation to a traditional context such as pastry making, demonstrating how CRM technology can be pervasive and adaptable to different sectors.
On February 4th the pastry exams were held at ALMA, the international cooking school, one of the most renowned companies in the culinary sector. During these exams, students presented their creations to external jurors to obtain a final evaluation, which is essential for obtaining the diploma. This event represents the culmination of their educational journey, a crucial moment that lasts several hours during which each student receives a score based on their preparations.
This year Soluta was the protagonist of a great innovation with the launch of the teachers' webapp during the exams, helping to make the management of evaluations simpler and more fluid.
The presence of well-known figures from Italian pastry making brought further prestige to the event.
Why are we talking about webapps and CRM?
Soluta has introduced several CRM systems in ALMA in recent years, making this tool the heart of student management. Each of them, from a CRM point of view considered a customer, has a unique history that is traced from the first contact with the school. On the marketing side, the CRM records all interactions, from the application as a prospect and the following recording of the student's entire training path. During pastry exams this information is also made available to the jury of external teachers.
Thanks to the webapp developed by Soluta, teachers can access read-only information such as:
-
Student personal data
-
Details about the training course, such as internships and previous grades
-
Title of the dish presented
-
Additional notes and final score assignment
Once inserted, this information further enriches the student's history in the CRM, providing a complete and detailed vision of his path.
Technology at the basis of innovation
A key aspect of this innovation is the reduction of paper usage. In the past, exam management took place entirely on paper, with obvious logistical difficulties and possible errors. Today, thanks to the webapp, teachers identify themselves through a QR code and can assign grades directly from a digital interface, using tablets provided by ALMA. This system makes the evaluation quicker and more precise.
Conclusion
Participating in the pastry exams was an exciting experience for Soluta, which collaborates with companies from various sectors, each with unique needs and dynamics. Experiencing such an important moment together with a client like ALMA, with the participation of renowned jurors like Iginio Massari, was a source of great satisfaction. This event represents a further step towards the pervasiveness of CRM and its practical application also in the culinary training sector.
Here you can see the interview with Maestro Iginio Massari, super guest of the jury (2019), who also returned to ALMA this year for the pastry exams.
